• If you have a copy of the access database in its original format, Use Convert Database command on the Tools menu (Database Utilities submenu) to convert from a prior version of Microsoft Access instead of DAO Compact Database method.
• If the original database is not available, create a new database and import your tables and queries to preserve your data. But remember that your other database objects can't be recovered.
• If you want to recover all objects- In this case you should use Jet Compact Repair utility to repair your access database.
